We are Boy Scout Troop 334 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. 

 What Separates Troop 334 Boy Scouts from Other Youth Initiatives?

The feature that separates Boy Scouts from other youth initiatives is the Life Experience Skills. Scouts learn many valuable lessons including the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, learning how to serve our community and make decisions by thinking about the possible consequences, how to define and set goals, and how to transfer the positive values they are learning into everyday life.

 The lessons learned continue to extend far beyond the years of Scouting itself. If you think of some of the world’s greatest leaders who made a real difference in our world today you will notice a common thread. Many of them were in Scouting and that is where they learned about:

Perseverance

Respect

Honesty

Integrity

Sportsmanship

Honor

Serving Others

Good Judgment

Patriotism

  The Scout Oath and Scout Law are founded on these principals.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best

To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
brave, clean, and reverent.

I can not think of any other organization that instills those values in young men as much as Scouting does.

Neil Armstrong , Franklin Roosevelt ,Dwight Eisenhower ,Gerald Ford, John F Kennedy ,Lyndon Johnson.

Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, James (Jimmy) Stewart,  Richard Gere,Henry (Hank) Aaron,  Nolan Ryan,

Steve Young, Sam Walton, Bill Gates.
